REBEKAH(right): For me Sawdust and Diamonds is all about making one-off pieces of wearable art. Its about rummaging through vintage shops and charity shops for pretty fabrics and antique buttons. For me it's not only the joy of wearing a one-off garment I have made, its also the contentment i gain from doing my little bit for the environment...I love to create something new out of something old, to reduce waste and consume less. I want to make garments that the owner feels STUNNING in and wears again and again!
JENNI (left) : I am a pixie by heart and have always been able to gather my ideas from nature. My love for textiles and sculpture has resulted in a whirlwind partnership, and the creation of ''Sawdust and Diamonds''. I aim to continue travelling around the world, hoarding fabric and bits and bobs that people pass of as rubbish, and creating reclaimed wearable art for someone to love! One mans rubbish is another's treasure!!
